This guacamole is 100% plant-based with zero animal products. Every ingredient is naturally vegan — ripe avocados, fresh lime juice, crisp veggies, and bright herbs. No substitutions needed. Serve with tortilla chips (most are vegan; just check that they use plant-based oil, not lard) for a guilt-free party dip.

  1. Prep the avocados. Cut each avocado in half lengthwise around the pit. Twist the halves apart and remove the pit.
  2. Scoop and mash. Scoop the flesh into a medium bowl. Add lime juice and salt. Mash with a fork to your desired consistency — chunky is ideal.
  3. Add the mix-ins. Fold in the diced red onion, minced jalapeño, chopped cilantro, and diced tomato. Stir gently.
  4. Taste and adjust. Add more salt for flavor, lime juice for brightness, or jalapeño for heat. Taste until it sings.
  5. Serve. Serve immediately with tortilla chips. Press plastic wrap directly onto the surface to prevent browning if storing.
